My name is Chantée Benefield and I was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California.  I was fortunate to attend  Howard University in Washington, D.C, studying painting and art history (BFA).  My creative pursuits have spanned the fields of fashion, interior design and entertainment as a designer and scenic painter.

I enjoy working in a variety of media and styles ranging from realistic portraiture to abstract expressionism.  I have

always been drawn to mixed media art and incorporating layers of texture into my paintings.
